Wednesday, October 26, 2011: Conventional wisdom has it that Indian technology companies service US markets and customers through their US presence. Conventional wisdom also has it that Indian technology companies are service oriented, not product oriented.
Turning conventional wisdom around on its head is a young technology company, Pervazive. Presenting a case study of their expansion in the U.S., Nikunj Gupta, CFO of Pervazive said, “Pervazive is positioning our US office as our global intellectual property hub. We are creating a federation of technology product companies that share a common DNA. This federation would provide end-to-end solutions for telecom operators and distinguish itself by the strength of its intellectual property. Using the Fairfax region as a hub, we are looking to spur regional economic development through job creation and exports”………

This seminar focused on Indo-US trade and investment. Executives from Indian-owned firms located in Fairfax County, Virginia, Headstrong and Pervazive, presented investment, growth, and selling case studies that leveraged service delivery models for the US market and capitalize on investment opportunities. The event also featured a presentation by a representative of the US Commercial Services office in Chennai.
